Fred Rogers, Burr Tillstrom, Jim Henson at Disney

This was one of my favorite things in #disneyshollywoodstudios or as it was called when I took this photo in 2001 Disney-MGM Studios. It features two of my heroes, #fredrogers aka #misterrogers and #jimhenson. With Burr Tillstrom in the middle, all three were inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame. Tillstrom, with his show,"Kukla, Fran and Ollie," was one of the earliest to introduce puppets to television audiences. Sometimes when I look back at my photos, I'm so grateful for what I have chosen to capture, such as these portraits which have since been removed. . . . . #muppets #disneyhollywoodstudios #disney #waltdisneyworld #instadisney #disneygram #disneyparks #disneyphoto #disneypic #disneylife #disneylove #disneyphotography #waltdisney #disneymagic #travel #travelgram #worldtravelpics #travelphoto #lovetheworld #vacationtime #pursuehappy #choosejoy #makeyousmilestyle #holdthemoments #myeverydaymagic #scottlwolfphotography

Goodbye to legendary choreographer Miriam Nelson

I’m sad to post that legendary Hollywood and Disney choreographer Miriam Nelson passed away this morning at the age of 98. Besides her many Hollywood credits, Miriam choreographed so much of the dances for the opening day of Disneyland in 1955. She continued working both in Hollywood and for Disney including the Disney on Parade traveling show and Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe Revue. I recorded an interview with her a few years ago and will do my best to post it really soon! You’ll love hearing her story and I will remain grateful for the times I got to spend with her!

Walt Disney Elementary in Marceline, MO

Below is a 1959 newspaper clipping of Walt Disney in front of a rendering of the Walt Disney Elementary School in his boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri, and below that is a photo I took of the still-operating school as it appears today.
