Somehow, it seemed appropriate to post this cover of the 1980 record album, “Christmas in the Stars.” Released on both record album and cassette, this album featured Anthony Daniels, reprising his role of C-3PO from “Star Wars.” It featured such classics very interesting songs such as “R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and who can ever forget “What Can You Get a Wookie for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb?)”, which made it to the Billboard top 100 songs! According to one newspaper, that called the album, “The funniest Christmas album since the Chipmunks, claims that the dialogue in the album was taken from a script by George Lucas.
Here’s a taste of the album, featuring C-3PO singing the title song, “Christmas in the Stars.
Lastly, below is an ad featuring “Christmas in the Stars,” right next to one of my personal favorites, “John Denver and the Muppets.” Notice the top of the ad mentions “Disney Christmas albums” and despite that no Disney albums are shown, the two of albums pictured below it are “Star Wars” and the Muppets, both of which would be owned by Disney in years to come. It coincidentally appears

Avoiding crowds during Walt Disney World vacations takes some planning, so here are some tips that will help!
Eat dinner prior to 6:00 pm or after 8:00 pm to avoid peak dining times, and take advantage of advance dining reservations. Before your Walt Disney World vacation, look online or let me help you find some restaurants you’d like to experience. I highly recommend making dining reservations, which can be made 180 days in advance on the My Disney Experience app or your My Disney Experience account online.
If there are more than one showing of a parade or show, opt for the later times and see them earlier in your vacation. Although the later showings are often less crowded, I also recommend seeing live performances earlier in your trip. If you’re anxious to see a parade and you wait until a later performance, it would be terrible if it were cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, so make sure you don’t wait until the last day of your vacation.
Ride attractions during show and parade times for shorter lines. I’ve already suggested you view shows and parades at later times, but I guess a lot of people still aren’t reading my blog 🙂 and don’t know that, so while at the earlier performances, it’s a great time for you to go on the attractions that typically have longer waits.
Take advantage of the special ticketed events. These events tend to be less crowded than regular park hours and you get lots of special treats. With Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, for example, besides the attractions, you’ll get to see a special parade, fireworks presentation, and show. And if that’s not enough, they’ll throw in complimentary cookies and hot chocolate. Oh, and there’s magical snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. Click here for dates and more information.
Use the My Disney Experience app to check attraction and character wait times. That knowledge can help you to plan your experience more efficiently. And you don’t even have to be in Tomorrowland to take advantage of such futuristic technology!
